Steven Tyler of Aerosmith performs at Madison Square Garden. Probably the highlight of my year.
2012 Year End Top 50, NYC/Metro – I always look foward to doing a “Best Of” or “Recap” of some sort at the end of each year. It gives me a chance to look back on the body of work I’ve produced throughout the year and share some gems with you all.
Here’s my top 50 from this year, in no particular order…
Roger Waters performs The Wall at Yankee Stadium.
Florence and the Machine performs at Jones Beach.

Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers performs at the Prudential Center.
Steve Vai performs at the Best Buy Theater.
Madonna performs at Madison Square Garden.
Slash Performs at the Wellmont Theater.

Hannah Hooper of Grouplove performs at Terminal 5.
Eddie Van Halen of Van Halen performs at Madison Square Garden.
Billy Graziadei of Biohazard performs at the Gramercy Theater.
Wes Scantlin of Puddle of Mudd “performs” at Starland Ballroom. He had a meltdown and got into it with a fan at the show and stormed off stage after this shot was taken.

Skrillex performs at Roseland Ballroom.
Zac Brown Band performs at the IZOD Center.

With that being said, 2012 was my busiest year photographically. Early in the year I decided I was going to hit this as hard as I could and I definitely achieved that goal. I more than doubled the amount of bands that I covered this year over last year. In total, I covered 229 bands including 7 music festivals.

This year wasn’t easy by any means. I over-extended myself to the best of my abilities to be able to do what I truly love doing. I want to give thanks to my friends and family, all the bands that I was able to shoot, the tour managers and PR companies I worked for/with and my very understanding lady, Selena. THANK YOU!!!
I’m looking foward to 2013; building on the successes of this past year and to all the opportunities that may come my way.
Stay tuned for my “Best Of 2012 Music Festival Photos Recap” as well as some love for all the drummers out there…tucked away in the back under next to no lighting.
