Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC. – A few days back…the mighty Soundgarden roared into NYC to do a 2 night run at the Hammerstein Ballroom in support of their new album entitled “King Animal”. Here’s my photo review from night 2.
Soundgarden has always been a favorite band of mine since they emerged into the Grunge scene in the early 90’s with the likes of Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Alice In Chains. I had to think back to when I first saw them play…1992 at Lollapalooza. Wow…20 years ago.
The lighting at this show was for the most part really good and consistent. It was an absolute joy to shoot this show. I caught myself getting wrapped up in the show a few times during the first 3 songs. The whole band has an infectious energy about them that fills the room from floor to ceiling. Good to see them still rockin as hard as ever.
