Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA. – Continuing coverage of Outside Lands Music Festival in beautiful Golden Gate Park San Francisco.
Check out my review in photos…
Dumpstaphunk Probably on of my favorite bands to see live these days.
Fishbone is still kickin it hard after all these years. They are still one of my favorite bands that I still listen to and it never gets old.
Emeli Sande is a young European singer/song writer making a buzz these days.
Matt and Kim are so high energy on stage. Have shot them a few times and it all looks the same.
Hall and Oates was probably one of the highlights of my weekend. They looked great playing on stage together as they played hit after hit after hit…
Vampire Weekend was pretty good. Still don’t see what all the hype is about.
Willie Nelson still going at 80 years of age. This was the other highlight of my weekend. Always wanted to see him live. Only got to enjoy 1 song as he was playing at the other end of the festival and I had to get back to shoot another band.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are always full of energy and a pleasure to see and shoot. I wasn’t in the pit for this one. Just took a few from afar and enjoyed the show.
What a long and crazy weekend this was. I gotta say Golden Gate Park was a great place to have a huge festival like this if you aren’t working it like I was. It was way too spread out which meant it took way to much time to get from the main stage at one end of the festival to any of the other ones. Another huge pain in the ass was the fact that our Media tent was up on the hill Stage Left, we had to enter the photo pit all the way Stage Right which meant trying to get through the dense crowd before every main stage act performed…and then back out and through it when we left the pit. The weather was about as wonky as can be expected for being San Francisco and also by the beach. Very little sun, plenty of fog, mist and temperature fluctuations. All in all a good time. Would definitely do it again next year.
