The Fillmore, San Francisco, CA. – NYC rockers…Living Colour stopped by The Fillmore in San Francisco recently to open up their 25th Anniversary tour. These guys have been bringing it since the early 80’s and they haven’t lost a beat. This tour will consist of playing their album “Vivid” in it’s entirety while sprinkling in some hits/classics.
Check out my review in photos…
They were having a blast on stage. There definitely was no shortage of energy from these guys.
The second song of the night was “Cult Of Personality”. Drummer Will Calhoun was so fierce on this one that he busted through his drumhead.
The band is still as tight as ever.
I felt like this several times throughout the show.
Vernon Reid had many blistering solos throughout the night. Further proof he’s one of the best guitarists of all time.
What a great night of music. I first saw these guys back in ’91 on the inaugural Lollapalloza Tour. I think the only thing that was missing was that damn Body glove suit that Corey Glover used to wear. It’s rare these days that bands last this long much less still play with the same ferocity that they had when they first came out.
