Mountain Winery, Saratoga, CA. – Fresh off the continued success of her currently acclaimed Broadway musical endeavor “Kinky Boots”, Cyndi Lauper found some time to have fun at the beautiful Mountain Winery. She is currently celebrating 30 years in the music business on her current “She’s So Unusual” tour.
Check out my review in photos…
Cyndi Lauper hops into the crowd during the first song to sing with a fan.
Back into the crowd during the second song…
Money Changes Everything (The Brains cover)
Girls Just Want to Have Fun
When You Were Mine (Prince cover)
Time After Time
All Through the Night (Jules Shear cover)
I’ll Kiss You
He’s So Unusual (Helen Kane cover)
This was my first time to this beautiful outdoor venue/amphitheater….if you can call it that. The venue capacity is at around 1,750 and located on top of long tiny, winding dirt road on top of a mountain. Great sound. Beautiful surroundings.
The stage at the venue is tiny. There doesn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house. After what seemed to be some difficulty with Cyndi’s ear piece during the first song; she kept on going with her usual high energy performance. Ever so quirky she is, she hopped into the crowd twice during the first 2 songs and sang with her adoring fans. What’s not to love about her? Her voice [both as she sings or even just talks] is captivating. She always has stories to share with her fans and really makes them a part of her show.
Continued success to you Cyndi!!
