I can’t sing high enough praises about this band. I think I’ve seen/shot them about 4 or 5 times now. Every single show has always been such a fun, high energy rock and roll show. Each individual member contributes in their own unique way and totally playing to their fans. They always seem to be having fun up on stage, improvising, etc. While I’m sad to see bassist Jimmy Ashurst depart, new bassist Kelly LeMieux seems to be fitting in quite nicely.
It’s always nice when I can bring a new perspective to a show that I’m shooting. For this one, the band gave me stage access after the first 3 songs from the front/pit. Having stage access isn’t always the best vantage to shoot from but it allows the photographer to show the band from a different point of view. It also helps when you have a band as fun as these guys posing for me and playfully flipping me off while I’m shooting. As discussed prior to the show, I was able to get the parting shot of the band taking a bow to me with the crowd behind them as I stood on the drum riser. Such an amazing night. HUGE thanks to the band for their hospitality and kindness and to my man Bob Seeger Jr. of Indian Larry Motorcycles.
My friend and fellow photographer, Amanda Stevens was able to capture the moment from a different perspective. Thanks!
