Madison Square Garden, NYC 11.20.12 – Supergroup Aerosmith stopped by Madison Square Garden the other night on their “Global Warming” Tour. They are in support of their latest release “Music From Another Dimension!”; their first studio album of new material in 8 years.
I was trying to reflect back on if I had ever seen Aerosmith perform live before and surprisingly the answer was no. I grew up listening to them and I’ve always been into live music/shows since I was a kid…but never saw them live. And after seeing this show the other night…I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on!
The band entered the arena from the front of the catwalk extension of the main stage in the middle of the floor and spent the majority of my first three songs performing there as I was shooting. This made shooting from the soundboard that much more easy and enjoyable.
Tyler and Perry both sounded great [as did the rest of the band]. They seem to have rekindled the magic the used to have together on stage as they repeatedly sang and frolicked together throughout the show.
Amazingly, while Aerosmith has been performing for almost 40 years…they really haven’t lost a step.
